As part of its agribusiness project portfolio, JGP has conducted Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) as well as E&S due diligence and monitoring for Lenders on more than 30 sugar and ethanol plants with their associated plantations in Brazil and Peru. In most cases, the sugar and ethanol mills include thermal power co-generation from bagasse, part of which is to feed the mill and part is sold to the grid.
