The Xingu – Estreito Project is an 800 kV DC transmission line, including two major substations and associated facilities. The line is 2.192 Km. and passes through 65 municipalities within four Brazilian states. The alignment is inserted in the Amazon and Cerrado biomes. JGP was responsible for the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and public consultation process, the Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP), the Forest inventories required for issuance of Forest Clearing Permits; Archaeological studies and field investigations and implementation of all the E&S Management Plans during construction
